Carevo’s Commitment to Accessibility
Carevo is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and barrier-free experience for all individuals. In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005, and its associated standards under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11), we take active steps to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility.

Website Accessibility

Carevo’s website is designed to conform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as required under Ontario legislation.

To support accessibility, our website:

  • Is compatible with commonly used assistive technologies
  • Supports keyboard navigation
  • Uses structured headings and logical page organization
  • Provides alternative text for meaningful images
  • Maintains sufficient colour contrast
  • Uses clear, readable fonts and consistent layouts
  • Avoids content that may create sensory barriers

Accessible Information and Communication

Upon request, Carevo will provide information and communications in accessible formats or with communication supports, in a manner that considers the individual’s disability.

Accessible formats may include:

  • Large print
  • Accessible digital documents
  • Plain text
  • Email correspondence
  • Other formats as reasonably required

Assistive Devices

Individuals who use assistive devices to access services are welcome to do so. Carevo’s website is designed to work with assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and alternative input devices.

Service Animals and Support Persons

Where services are provided in person, Carevo welcomes individuals who are accompanied by a service animal or support person, in accordance with applicable legislation.

Notice of Temporary Disruptions

If there is a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities that persons with disabilities rely on, Carevo will provide notice as soon as possible.

Training

Carevo provides accessibility training to employees, contractors, and volunteers as required under Ontario legislation.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Carevo maintains a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan outlining our strategy to prevent and remove barriers and to meet current and future legislative requirements.
